This web site is a "Single Fluid" converter molten
salt reactor site. As far as the author is aware, while many dual fluid
breeder fluid designs have been proposed, none have ever been built and
test-run. According to some, the more complicated dual fluid molten salt
reactors have some theoretical drawbacks. ORNL put a lot of effort into
dual fluid studies and there are many patents in this area by others.
