OIL: The Ultimate Convenience Fuel
Synthesizing unlimited carbon-neutral OIL out of nuclear's heat.

Replacing IMPORTED PUMPED OIL  35% of all Global Warming.      Oil's energy density, precision, speed, and cost have no equal.
The world won't give up 85 million bbl/day oil just for the sake of Global Warming.  Since 1850, we've only used 1 of our 8 trillion barrels of recoverable oil reserves.

Phase One:  Making best use of what we have at hand.
    13  Synthesizing Oil From Gas       OIL SECURITY.  Shell's "Pearl."  Twice the crude oil we import from OPEC. 140,000 diesel, 120,000 other bbl/day/site.

    13.1  Oil, Oil Sands, Oil Shale        Oil reserves overview.  Using nuclear energy to minimize the CO2 being produced by the manufacture of sand, shale oils.

Phase Two:  Converting nuclear's heat into carbon-neutral oil.
    14  Totally Synthetic Nuclear Oil    "Green Freedom"  An air + water + nuke fuel project from Los Alamos Labs. 18,000 gasoline, 30,000 methanol bbl/day/site. 

    14.1  Nuclear Biogenic Oil              Nuclear fast-pyrolisis of wood, algae, sewage, etc., to make carbon-neutral biofuel oil both practical and powerful.

It's a lot harder to make a lump of uranium hot than it is to make a lump of coal hot. 

The key to making fossil fuels COMPLETELY obsolete forever is to make synthetic carbon-neutral oils so abundant and so cheap no one - anywhere in the world - will ever want to use anything else for heat at the household level.
