There are sufficient diffuse fossil fuels to make at least a dozen Global Warmings.
Only by making fossil fuels OBSOLETE can we be certain Global Warming will never return.

The author, an electrical/electronics engineer, has adopted this comprehensive energy position paper by Ted Rockwell as his position on energy.

This unsponsored educational web site exploring the feasibilities of replacing fossil fuel boilers with nuclear boilers is the pro bono effort (which has turned out to be a continuing intellectual adventure) of a retired professional engineer who has spent 40+ years working in and around heavy electric utility and large industrial energy management systems as an applications engineer.

Over half of what we call "Global Warming" is the direct result of burning fossil fuels to make electricity.  I feel that because of what I know, I do not have the right to remain silent on the issue of ending electrical, industrial and commercial boiler's contribution to Global Warming.  I notice  professional media writers with only journalism backgrounds often overlook or garble key engineering aspects of a technology.  On the other hand, I can garble any subject.

This web site is kept as a never-complete on-line notebook, always under construction, so I can share what I am learning with the world.  As is typical for engineers, all content is subject to optimization through frequent and extensive revisions due to new or more accurate information, thought, and after-thought.  Please share its ideas with others and feel free to email contact me to correct my mistakes and misunderstandings.  A frequently asked questions page and the Author page have additional information.

I am not a scientist and this is not a scientific paper.  I am an engineer and this is engineering talk, not professional engineering advice.

Thank you for visiting Coal2NuclearI invite your questions, comments, and suggestions.  Please return. -  Jim Holm
